The sieve is one of the most useful items in this mod, it is required to gain many items in skyblock and make items renewable elsewhere.
Crafting EditSieves can be crafted as follows:
To craft any other type of sieve just use other types of wooden planks.
Sieving Items Edit
The Sieve is (as the name indicates) used to sieve small particles from less consistent blocks, such as Sand or Gravel. The blocks to sieve are applied by right-clicking on the sieve holding them. After that, the sieve has to be right-clicked until the item is fully sieved. Then the items sieved out of the block drop from the sieve.
WARNING: The block used to sieve the items will be completely lost then!
The sieve will accept Dirt, Gravel, Sand, Dust, Limestone, and Soul Sand. Click Sieved Items to see the table of items that are obtained from sieving. Not all items will drop at the same rate, some are more rare than others and a single piece of Dirt, Gravel, Sand, Dust, Smooth Stone, Netherrack or Soul Sand sieved does not guarantee items to drop.
Sieves are compatible with any type of auto-clicking block, such as the "Autonomous Activator" from "Thermal Expansion". However, this behaviour is disabled by default when installing Ex Nihilo.
To enable it, open up the config file, which is located at
on Windows PCs, or on Linux at
"/home/<your username>/.minecraft/config/ExNihilo.cfg"6ysgassuming you´re playing in plain Forge.
Here locate the line
B:"sieve automation allowed"=false
under options and turn that into
B:"sieve automation allowed"=true
After this change is made, you are able to automate the sieves with any block that can simulate a right click.
Many Modpacks are already configured like that so you can simply use the delivered tools without doing that.
